I have already Black Knight Halberd which dropped in my first try of killing Black Knight, but my friend wasn't able to drop it and I heard a lot of people having trouble of having this good weapons. When the Black Knight didn't drop the weapon you want, delete your save file and replace it with your backup ( just copy paste it ), you can do this so many times as you want, until you get the drop. I watched this speedrunner guy on Twitch, he was able to drop it ever single time after restarting game at any point when he fails or end the game. Do you mean have another save right before Black Knight by saying backup? I don't know about the speedrunners method, but I guess they can just start a new game, run to the Black Knight and when they don't get the sword, start the next game.

When you want to be sure to get a Black Knight weapon from first Black Knight, you can make a manual backup just before you kill him, and then copy paste it and kill the Black Knight until he drops his stuff.
